Yesterday afternoon Wellesley & Co attended the Bridging and Commercial Awards and were pleased to win the ‘P2P Lender of the Year Award’. Bridging and Commercial is an industry publication that is widely respected and over 600 industry professionals attended the awards ceremony.
In order to win the award, Wellesley & Co firstly had to be nominated. The company were then judged by two panels of judges consisting of sixteen representatives from the bridging, commercial and development finance markets. The panel then went on to select their top five nominees and the collective result determined the award shortlist. The shortlist entries were then asked to acquire three references in support of their nomination which went on to be judged further by a separate judging panel to determine the winner.

The future of Wellesley’s Peer-to-Peer lending is set for expansion. With products that have been tailored though consumer demand, Wellesley are only looking forward to bringing further innovative products to market. Wellesley will work in conjunction with the demands of the industry and will be focused on any Government updates that may be announced such as; the consultation on the inclusion of Peer-to-Peer lending within an ISA.
