Wellesley Finance plc operates as a bespoke, specialised lender to SME developers of residential housing development in the UK. Our ability to do this well is based on our strong commercial awareness and deep experience allied to speed of decision-making. While all proposed loans are subject to detailed scrutiny, because we are a small firm the decision-making chain is very short. Our approach to evaluating any scheme is based on the enterprise risks of the whole transaction structure and is specific to the scheme but will always have a particular focus on the suitability of the houses being built for their local marketplace alongside the experience and financial commitment of the borrower and key contractors
Stephen Bell, Group Chief Risk Officer
